Request shows

The mainstay of our station, as with any other Hospital Radio station, is playing patient requests. We aim to offer a request show every weekday evening between the hours of 8 and 9pm. We have a wide selection of music in our record library for patients listening pleasure - Classical, Easy Listening, Country, Rock and even the Charts (but sadly no Mongolian Nose Music, which was once requested!)

So, how does it work? Well, it is very simple. One of our presenters visits the wards (usually from about 7pm on weekdays). Regrettably this is usually confined to one or two wards per evening. They will take the request or dedication and endeavour to play on that evening's show.

Requests can also be made using our 24-hour request line on Milton Keynes (01908) 243555, or extension 3555 from an internal phone in the hospital, or by calling us directly from your Hospicom bedside terminal (tune to our station and follow the on-screen prompts). We also have a Request Box situated in the main foyer of the hospital near the shop and lifts.
