Keeping the station on air costs a few quid ...
Milton Keynes Hospital Radio is a Registered Charity (Number 289361). We do not receive any grants or funding from the NHS for our service and we have to raise all the funds to finance the operations of the radio station ourself.
It costs somewhere in the region of £2000 a year to keep the station on the air. This pays for insurance, our Performing Rights Society License, the upkeep of the studio equipment and for new additions to our music collection.
We also have a few projects on the horizon that will require extra funding. These include a major upgrade to the computer system that stores our electronic music and manages our automated play-out system and the creation of a second studio. These projects will require significant funding to complete.
We know that times are hard, but any contribution, big or small, would be welcome.
We also have opportunities for corporate bodies to support the future development of MKHR by sponsorship of programmes. If you could help with this then please contact us at fundraising@mkhrs.org.uk.
